My daughter Edie had an excellent time at Danegrove and is now studying at East Barnet.

My name is Janet Mead and I am a parent Governor here at Danegrove. I sit on two committees, the premises committee which looks after all of our premises and equipment and the personnel committee which looks after our staff. I live and work in Barnet with two sons, both of whom did attend Danegrove but have now moved on to East Barnet Secondary School.

Grant Taylor - Parent Governor

I am passionate about the voluntary sector, Karate, hot and spicy food, and love to take a great British holiday in Southwold, Suffolk, whenever possible.  I have three children, Holly who has recently left Danegrove for East Barnet School, Charlie who is currently in Year 3, and Daisy who will be joining Danegrove as a 4 year old in September 2015.

I have worked in recruitment since 1999 and in executive search since 2004 exclusively for public sector and not-for-profit organisations. I have undertaken a significant number of Chief Executive, Director, Chair, Trustee and Non-Executive appointments for charities, public sector and not-for-profit organisations of all kinds and sizes. Grant’s experience also includes working with schools and local authorities to recruit Headteachers and people involved in supporting school leadership.

I am currently the Founder and Managing Partner of Peridot Partners Ltd where I lead the Leadership Effectiveness (Board Development) practice while managing the business. I am a committed advocate for the voluntary sector having volunteered as a Trustee for over six years and am currently a Trustee of the national work/life charity Working Families.  Since 2014 I have been a Parent Governor of Danegrove School and support the HR Committee.  I hope to bring my knowledge of recruitment, organisational and people performance, board dynamics and business leadership to this role as well as playing a more active part in my local community.
