On behalf of myself, the staff, governors and pupils, can I warmly welcome you to Danegrove Primary School....
Danegrove School is a happy, safe and welcoming community where all are respected, encouraged and supported to reach their full potential...
A brilliant time was had by all the children who attended. A massive £1840 was raised by the event which will help to make some reading areas around our school. A big thank you to all the staff, Governors and parents who helped during, before and after the disco. THANK YOU!
If you wish to view our lovely school please contact the school office on 020 8449 4024 and they will be able to help you book a convenient date.
The School Council
As a member of the School Council, I am proud to represent my class and try to make the school a better place! However, with the job comes great responsibility (and yellow notebooks). I try to take all of my class' decisions into account; often sharing their ideas with my fellow Year 6 reps. We all hope to help Danegrove flourish and everyone - from Y2 to Y6 -is proud to wear the badges of the School Council (though I sometimes forget mine)!
Thanks so much, Ava (6LR)
Next week, on Thursday 11th March we will continue the celebrations at school. The children may come to school dressed up as a favourite book character, if they wish. However, some of them may not and that is absolutely fine. In that case they can attend school in their normal school uniform. Vocabulary Hat Parade
As part of our whole school focus on the importance of learning and understanding new vocabulary, each year group will be creating ‘vocabulary hats’ at school. All year groups will have a vocabulary theme which may be words associated with their Science, Integrated studies or English topic. After working together to design and create their vocabulary hats the children will spend a session playing vocabulary and word games including team work and some drama. All the staff are excited to welcome all of the children back to school after such a long time. We hope that these celebrations will play a positive part in the full return to school.
