Welcome to Year 2

Miss O'Keefe, Miss Kiliminster, Miss Suarez and Mr Cowan would like to welcome you to the Year 2 page! The Year 2 team cannot wait for an exciting and fun-filled year, packed full of opportunities to create unforgettable memories. 

In Year 2, we study many interesting topics across a wide-ranging curriculum that aim to engage our children. From Mathematical problem solving to the Great Fire of London to learning about living things in their habitats. We are looking forward to having a fantastic year with you!

Here are some helpful Year 2 reminders: 

• Outdoor PE for the whole year-group is on a Wednesday afternoon. 
• Indoor PE is on Monday.
• On PE days children should come in school PE kit (plain white t-shirt, plain navy-blue tracksuit trousers, plain navy-blue sweatshirt or jumper - NO hoodies, any trainers).

If you are able to spare an hour or more a week to listen to children read to help with their fluency, please contact the office.

Homework is set weekly.  It is a combination of maths (completed on MyMaths), Spellings from Edshed, reading from Oxford Owl and a topic task.
